For most people ironing is a chore. However, it needs to be done so here are some tips to help you make it easier and faster.
- Try not to leave your ironing to be done with the next laundry. This will make it even less appealing when you see 2 hours of ironing ahead of you.
- If possible do your laundry in the bedroom. This will give you the chance to use your bed for sorting out your laundry and ironed clothes can go straight on the hangers and in the wardrobe.
- To save time when ironing use reflective ironing board cover or if you don’t have one stick a piece of aluminium foil under the cover. In both ways the heath will be reflected back to the garment so you’ll be ironing it both sides at the same time.
- Start with clothes that require ironing on low temperature and progress to those requiring higher.
- Follow manufacturer’s instructions on the labels to avoid disappointment.
- Cotton shirts are ironed easier when they are still damp. Put them on hangers to keep their shape and to prevent creases.
